Obama is Prez

From Hawaii to Chicago to Washington, Barack Hussein Obama is the 44th president of the United States. We were glued to the tv as Obama gave his inauguration speech at noon. But Aretha Franklin may have stolen the show when she sang "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" in a giant grey bow-hat. Tonight, noting slaves built the White House, NBC journalist Brian Williams is just gushing. You wouldn't know there's a war on multiple fronts, and a severe recession, with 10 inaugural balls and as many gown changes going down. The President promised late Tuesday from the MTV ball, that "America will get stronger, more united, more secure. You will make it happen." Then, a sea of digital cameras as the Obamas danced to "At Last." At last, an end to racial and ethnic segregation, and hatred? Some still won't acknowledge the past, but Obama represents hope.
